Hoggy’s first opened its doors on June 27, 1991 in the small Linworth suburb of Columbus, Ohio. It rapidly became the favorite destination of Barbecue lovers. After the original Linworth location could not keep up with the demand for great Barbecue, expansion began. Now they have grown to seven locations, including four in the Columbus, Ohio area. The newest addition is located at Polaris Parkway and Sancus Blvd.
Barbecue (theirs is applewood smoked at each location) is just the beginning of a well known and fun menu. Hoggy’s offers a spacious “party barn” atmosphere to the smoked selection of ribs, chicken and pork. All BBQ sauces and side dishes are made from scratch, the beer is ice cold, and the parties are on going. There motto is “ nobody leaves hungry”. In addition to Barbecue; fish, chicken, fresh salads, homemade soups and thirteen made from scratch sides all guarantee anyone entering will find a menu item to their craving. The side dish selections of Colossal onion rings, whipped sweet potatoes, mac-n-cheese, grilled corn on the cob, sweet three-bean baked beans, ½ jumbo baked potato, skin-on mashed taters, seasoned fires, creamy cole slaw, tomato and cucumber salad and grilled asparagus all require considerable contemplation of tasty choices.
Their party barn is a natural choice for meetings, parties and special events. The Polaris location offers a private loft with a fireplace for groups of up to sixty. Every location offers eclectic country charm and whimsical décor, such as the signature “FarmAll” tractors that hang from every Hoggy’s ceiling.
