One of the largest shopping malls ever built is located in Ohio. This 1.5 million square foot mall sits on the Polaris Parkway, in Delaware County. The Polaris Mall features over 150 stores, so there is a store to please everyone.

If you ever get to Columbus, Ohio you should make a point of visiting the Polaris Mall Area to check out all the restaurants, entertainment, fashions, fun and some pretty tasty food.

This upscale shopping mall provides leather chairs, wooden coffee tables, stone, wood and carpeting. You don’t see that type of furnishings in most malls today. All the common areas feature natural lighting. This two-story mall features three escalators, two staircases and three elevators to help you navigate the quarter-mile building. And to keep the money flowing for all the stores, they also provide three ATM’s. To exit the building you can choose from six exits.

This mall is known to put on some of the most spectacular events that benefit customers as well as the community. One event is put on by Benihana where they sell children’s meals and all the proceeds are then donated to the very worthwhile St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The mall also helps to put on a big advertising display for the Race for the Cure Foundation.

This mall has taken customer service to a new high by providing travel arrangements, transportation services, wheel chairs, walkers and strollers. You can arrange to use their personal shopper service too. There are more than 80 restrooms throughout the facility, nursing rooms and they have handicap accessibility.

Some other services of interest include valet parking. To use this service a customer would drop off their car at the central drop off area and then they can pick up their car at the mall entrance that they specify. You don’t have to drag your possessions all around the mall you can leave them at a coat and package check point. And to top it all off you can get a good old fashioned shoe shine while you’re at the mall. The lower level in between Sears and Saks Fifth Avenue has a children’s play area for soft-sculpture.

The Polaris Mall consists of six well known anchor stores, which are The Great Indoors, Sears, Macy’s, JC Penney, Von Maur and the posh Saks Fifth Avenue. You certainly won’t go hungry while you’re at the mall, because there are eight food halls to choose from. The Molly Woo’s, Brio Tuscan Grille, The Cheesecake Factory and the California Pizza Kitchen are all complete service restaurants in the mall.

The Polaris Mall has teamed up with some great hotels that you can get special group rates for rooms, all are located within ten minutes drive to the mall. Some of the hotels that are part of the Shop & Stay packages are Best Western, Comfort Inn and Embassy Suites.

Some of the fine food specialties that are offered in the mall are the Cajun Cafe, Godiva Chocolatier, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and if that doesn’t make you hungry then a stop at the Auntie Anne’s Hand-Rolled Soft Pretzels shop ought to do the trick.

You will stay amused for hours with the unusual shops, such as Victoria’s Secret, the Sunglass Hut, Hat World and the famous Disney Store. If you have the kids along with you while shopping and they catch wind of the Disney Store, you might plan on staying in the mall for quite some time! The Polaris Mall provides a sampling of just about every type of shopping you can think of all in one well designed shopping mall.
