lazychameleon

In 1997 a small neighborhood bar and grill that dabbled in live music opened in Powell, OH. With a goal to offer such a relaxing atmosphere that caused anyone walking in to “change colors” from the hectic outside, the name chosen was The Lazy Chameleon. To reach that goal required live music and a great seafood menu. Once inside, you will realize the original goal continues to offer a chance to relax, socialize and listen to outstanding live music. The Lazy Chameleon is now recognized as one of the premier offerings for live music in Central Ohio.

Combine the Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening live bands and groups with the restaurant and bar, and enjoy an outstanding, fun atmosphere. Dancing, live music and award winning seafood continues to change attitudes and “colors”.

The Lazy Chameleon is an award winning offering. Awards such as “Best Seafood” and “Best Margaritas”  are constantly nominated by various voters. Changing specials such as “Rib Night” and “All You Can Eat Crablegs” are crowd favorites.

One of the best appetizer menus available in Central Ohio starts menu selections with offerings such as Maryland Crabcakes, Peel and Eat Shrimp, Fried Calamari, Jalapeno’s Stuffed with Crab, Buffalo Shrimp and  Spinach Artichoke Crab Dip.

Follow your chosen appetizer with a selection from their “Surf and Such” menu section. Mouth watering Loco Coconut Shrimp, Coastal Crabcakes, Cajun Pasta Alfredo, Chicken Capriese, Mesquite Mahi Mahi, Dockside Scallops, Steak Oscar and Fish and Chips are seafood winning recipes.

Small plates, such as Border Quesadillas, Margarita Pizza and Blacken Scallops are as well prepared for additional choices. Perhaps just a sandwich, such as the Sunset Chicken on Focaccia, Mesquite Mahi Mahi, Smokin Blues Burger, Open Face Steak or a Son of the Son of a Cheeseburger might make your evenings choice while enjoying the live music.  Every selection always goes great with a cold beer or a surfin Margarita.

Band names and showtimes are listed on their website, as well as a sampling of the great sounds. Need a break, want to socialize, savor excellent seafood, hear live music; slip in and “change color” at The Lazy Chameleon.

claddaghpub

Claddagh Irish Pub Of Polaris is the perfect place for a pint! Just wait until you walk in from the Polaris area and, as soon as you enter, relax; you’re in the heart of Ireland. Start by ordering a Guinness and review the menu for some traditional Irish fare.

The decor will have you feeling like your in your own castle of Ireland. As soon as you enter, you will believe your Irish.. The rough hewn rafters, stone walls, the huge fireplace and special enclosed eating areas contribute to the ambiance.  You also have the option to sit on their lovely patio and enjoy the view.

Their full service bar offers an excellent selection of authentic Irish beers and whiskeys. The menu offers an array of appetizers and meals. Start with the spinach and artichoke dip, then have the corned beef and cheese. It’s the Irish equivalent of a ham and cheese. Of course no Irish patron will pass on the chance to partake of the Fish and Chips.

The Claddagh Irish Pub is proud to serve authentic Irish cuisine with an excellent selection of alcohol that keep its customers coming back. Happy Hour is daily from 4 pm to 7 pm. Drop by on Sundays during their famous “S.I.N. Night” (service industry night) where grape and cherry bombs are $2 and 16-ounce draft pints just $3.

Sundays also features the burger special and half off on selected appetizers. Relax and have fun with live music on the waterfront patio, a truly Claddagh experience. The chefs of the Claddagh Irish Pub pride themselves on using the finest ingredients for all their traditional Irish fare. Experience the center of Ireland in Polaris.

COMMENTS:

1. We had the Jameson Drunken Steak (Grilled marinated flank steak, aged white cheddar, sauteed mushrooms, crispy onion straws and Jameson Irish whiskey glaze.) Served with Champ mashed potatoes & vegetables. At $19.00, it’s a full meal.

2. The experience at the Claddagh Irish Pub was fun in a unique way. We will definitely return just to try something new. We want to invite some friends and experience more of Ireland tradition and hospitality. Cheers for this pub!!
